Thank you to everyone who joined us for our inaugural year of ‘Camp Aldo’, our new Adult Summer Camp fundraising event! Together, we raised over $10,000 for children’s environmental education programs in Southern Wisconsin.![]()

An amazing group of fun-loving, outgoing, and adventurous adults, dubbed as ‘campers’ for the day, participated in a variety of activities designed to forge friendships and spark joy. They launched rockets they built themselves, dug through the sand for prizes, participated in team-building relay races, enjoyed water play with reusable water balloons, crafted their own tie-dyed creations, made friendship bracelets as keepsakes, competed in tug competitions, built forts in the basswood forest, discovered wetland critters on a pond dip, and tried their luck at PLINKO for a slew of fabulous prizes. ![]()

A variety of beverages were on-hand thanks to our favorite local brewers, including Delta Beer Lab, Rude Brew Kombucha, Starkweather Brewing Company, Working Draft Beer, and Young Blood Beer Company. Breakthru Beverage also came through with Tito’s, and Bubbl’r, lemonade, and Klarbrunn rounded out the N/A options. We also have to give it up to Madison Water Utility’s Water Wagon who supported us by keeping everyone hydrated (and away from those single-use plastics).![]()

Many thanks to Banzo and Forage Kitchen for keeping our bellies fed on an active day. No doubt our energies would have waned and the fun would not have carried through if we didn’t have food carts onsite. Many thanks to Discover Monona and the Monona Tourism Commission for financially supporting our first-ever Adult Summer Camp event, and to our media partners Madison Media Partners, WKOW Channel 27, WPR, and WVMO for helping us get the word out in our first year.![]()
